Praised for her "dark tone” and “vibrant musicality” (Calgary Herald), Abigail Rojansky celebrates her eleventh season as violist and founding member of the Verona Quartet, recipients of the 2020 Cleveland Quartet Award. Having participated in numerous festivals, including Chamber Music Northwest, LaJola SummerFest, the Manchester Summer Chamber Music Festival, and Bravo! Vail. Abigail has performed across North America and abroad including venues such as Carnegie Hal, Wigmore Hal, Kennedy Center, Alice Tuly Hal and the Melbourne Recital Hal. Abigail has performed with Wu Man, Roger Tapping, the Pacifica Quartet, the Borromeo Quartet, the East Coast Chamber Orchestra, and folk band I’m With Her. Other collaborations include Paul Katz, Merry Peckham, Atar Arad, Kim Kashkashian, Masumi Rostad, Cho- Liang Lin, and Orion Weiss. Abigail’s playing can be heard on the Verona Quartet’s three critically acclaimed albums as well as her recording collaboration with composer Lisa Bloom Cohen released through Nightengale Records Label. As a part of the String Quartet in Residence, Abigail has been on faculty at the Oberlin College and Conservatory since the fall of 2020 and has given masterclasses across the globe at institutions such as the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory in Singapore, VCU’s Global Summer Institute of Music and Indiana University’s Summer String Academy.

Abigail currently resides in Oberlin, Ohio, and holds degrees from the New England Conservatory, Juilliard School, Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, and Oberlin Conservatory, having studied with Martha Katz, Atar Arad, and Karen Ritscher, respectively. Abigail plays on a contemporary viola made by the acclaimed American luthier, Wiliam Whedbee.
