LSM Arts Sampler Workshops

  1. Lutheran Collegiate Partner institutions are invited to offer a workshop during the LSM Arts Sampler. Immediately following the College Fair on July 13, the LSM Arts Sampler offers fun, hands-on workshops for LSM students to try out an arts-related activity beyond their daily LSM curriculum. Every student attends two 45-minute workshops – sessions are each offered twice (start times of 3:30 and 4:30 p.m.) to accommodate demand.

    You are encouraged to offer a 45-minute session (to be repeated) that highlights an aspect of your music program. Last year’s workshops included: Parachutes and Tai Chi: Physical Approaches to the Voice; Smartmusic is a smart way to practice!; Viva Spiccato! Learning the bouncing bow technique; A Double Reed Petting Zoo; Painting Music (taught by a member of the art department); and more! What do you want to do to share your college’s musical expertise with LSM’s students? Let us know! We will accommodate as many Sampler Workshops as possible given space and time restrictions.
