ANTHEM: For I Am Not Ashamed of the Gospel | Paul D. Weber
For I am not ashamed of the gospel; it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes; for in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith. As it is written:
“The righteous shall live by faith.” (Romans 1:16-17 ESV)
Dear Christians, one and all, rejoice, with exultation springing,
And, with united heart and voice, and holy rapture singing,
Proclaim the wonders God has done, how his right arm the victory won,
What price our ransom cost him!

HYMN: God’s Only Son, the Word Alone | Paul D. Weber
The Lord be with you. And also with you.
O God, our refuge and strength, in this time of distrust, discord, and violence, give to us and to your world a lasting peace. We praise you for inspiring us with the gospel–wrapped in poetic texts and strong tunes, sung by choirs and congregations, played with the deep tones and the higher registers of the organ and other instruments. We praise you for blessing the church with the musical and theological gifts of Martin Luther and Johann Walter. Uphold all who, with the gift of music, enliven our praise and proclaim your word with power. Through the ministry of music, give us a new awareness of your loving grace and protection, and join our voices with all the choirs of heaven to sing your praise eternally; for you live and reign, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.. Amen
The people sit for the concluding organ work reaffirming our theme.
