How Many Times (from Matthew 13) by Gwen McQuaig

How many times have you heard my voice upon the breeze in the air in the songs of the birds upon their wings in the rush of a brook in the melody that sings, do you hear?
How many times have you seen my love all around, in the trees in the flow'rs that spring up from the ground, in the cliffs in the where a sense of peace is found, do you see?
For you will always look but never see and you will listen but never hear as long as your heart is hardened. Open your heart, in turn I will heal you.
How many times have you felt my hands uplifting you in a touch in a hug from a friend so dear and true in your hands clasped in prayer as your praises are but few do you feel?
How many times have you known I'm with you when you cry, in the dark and the fear you are a child of mine when the hate won't relent and you're far too weak to try, do you know?
For you will always look but never see and you will listen but never hear as long as your heart is hardened. Open your heart, in turn I will heal you.
