This annual award is renewable for each year the student is enrolled at Concordia University as an undergraduate. The LSM alumnus recipient must successfully complete the course requirements for any Concordia University music ensemble and private lessons in the area the scholarship was awarded for the entire academic year.

Concordia University Portland is a four-year Christian liberal arts college of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod offering undergraduate degrees in the College of Theology, Arts, and Sciences and the College of Health and Human Services. The university also offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in the College of Education and the School of Management which serves nearly 3000 students. The seven music ensembles provide opportunities for musicians to play in Brass, Choral, Handbell, Praise, Wind, and String Ensembles. The Bachelor of Arts degree program in music offers strands in Applied/Musicology, Music Education, and Church Music Ministry. Private instruction is provided for all traditional instruments by highly gifted professional musicians, each possessing a wealth of performing and teaching experience.
